BrightSpot Automation builds precision imaging systems for photovoltaics that reveal defects invisible to the eye — cracks, bad joints, seal failures, material degradation — across R&D, production QC and field inspection. Our imaging is low-light and largely near-infrared, so sensor quantum efficiency, dark current and cooling drive every camera decision. Targets range from a single small part to a full large-format panel, making optics, working distance and multi-camera registration constant problems. Our software platform sequences camera, illumination and power into repeatable capture recipes with image processing, including machine-learning defect detection.
